Experience is one thing you can’t get for nothing. ~Oscar Wilde

Romans 5:3-5

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.

No matter how hard we try we will all face problems in life. If we choose to allow them to, these problems can help us mature. We can gain experience from them. We can keep getting better.

It can be very powerful to learn what doesn’t work. It is unfortunate, but sometimes we can only learn something at a deep level when we have faced it ourselves. It becomes more real to us than just reading or hearing about it.

Make sure to learn the lessons. I have taken too long to learn certain lessons and I have experienced repeatedly the negative consequences of making the same mistakes over and over. I would imagine you have done the same thing at times.

With experience we each have the power to not keep making the same mistakes and to achieve success much quicker and without as much pain.
